Alexandre Keto is a street artist born in Sao Paulo. He started off by doing graffiti since he was influenced by the Hip Hop movement, but with a growing sense of social awareness, he realized that his art wasn’t reflective of his surroundings.
“It did not take long though, until I felt the need to create drawings that resembled the people living in my neighbourhood (black-skinned people), since they were not being appreciated or represented in any other way.”

He says that when people saw him painting in the streets, they often stopped to have a chat and even thanked him – and that makes him happy.
“[…] I started to understand more about the peoples’ feelings, desires, problems and interests. Becoming aware of this was decisive for the development of my work.
It woke an ambition in me that went far beyond the aim to exhibit my works and to create pieces of art that please critics.
It is much more than that: I desire to transform the peoples’ realities that make part of my own reality through artistic interventions and to create a society.”

New collaborative piece by the twin brothers Os Gemeos and JR in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Os Gemeos wrote a comment to explain the meaning behind this mural:
“[…] the scarcity of water is the reflex of what man and the bad administration of our politics are doing for years! It is the answer from nature to the neglect and disrespect from the deforestation and the pollution of our rivers, lakes and seas. We are all paying the price of filthy politics.”

A couple of days ago Bisser finished his mural for the Festival Concreto in Fortaleza, Brazil.
His latest piece depicts a big dragon holding a living castle!
It is not clear whether the dragon is hungry and wants to eat the little castle or if the two of them are only bounding and chatting. Anyway, the castle is smiling and has no idea about any possible evil intensions this hungry dragon could have.

His unique characters are very detailed as always.
