The Red Paint Experiment

I found this article on Mobstr’s website and it made me smile so I could not resist sharing it.

It is a photo story by street artist Mobstr who documented the development of this wall.
See the whole experiment and the funny trasformation 🙂

Mobstr explained: “I cycled past this wall on the way to work for years. I noticed that graffiti painted within the red area was ‘buffed’ with red paint. However, graffiti outside of the red area would be removed via pressure washing. This prompted the start of an experiment. Unlike other works, I was very uncertain as to what results it would yield. Below is what transpired over the course of a year.”

Mobstr continued his game and took his experiment above the red line.

However, it did not go as expected…

So he tried harder…

His attempt failed again!

Finally, he got the red paint where he wanted it.

Long story short, this is the result:

“Well, that’s one way to end it. Thanks mate, it’s been fun.”

This “game” took place over the course of a year.

I hope it made you smile as well.
Have a beautiful summer day! 🙂
